Also, our officers are encouraged (and sponsored) to complete the Basic Security Officer course offered by the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security and the National Incident Management System (NIMS) training.
Workplace Violence Awareness Training: Data provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics Survey of Occupational Injuries reveals that workplace violence injuries have increased by over four hundred percent (400%) in the past few years. Additionally, seventy-nine percent (79%) of incidents were caused by interactions with patients.
